Bakassa, Cameroon, is the home village of Pascal Monkam (1929-2021), the founder of the La Falaise Group. Bakassa is situated on the mountainous western border with Nigeria, which includes the volcanic Cameroon Mountain (4100 m). The country’s rich species abundance ranks fifth in Africa for fauna diversity and fourth in Africa for flora diversity.
