Located in Stilbaai on the southern coastline of the Western Cape, which is known for archaeological sites of internationalsignificance. Two examples are the prehistoric intertidal stonewall fish traps (Afrikaans: visvywers) that were made by the Khoi people.
The Blombos Cave includes archaeological finds such as the world’s oldest man-made engravings which show that early humans were capable of symbolic thinking, and that complex tools were created to be used as a means of survival and expression
The double-storey structure consists of stark face-brick facades topped with a green roof for optimal thermal performance. Large window openings are punched into the facades and are fitted with functional white aluminium sliding shutters for privacy and sun control.
